Christmas Events at Eastgate
Christmas is a time for the Basildon Community to rally round and entertain shoppers while also raising funds for a variety of local causes.
Monday December 13th to Thursday December 16th - This is Little Havens Children’s Hospice school carol week, when the fund raising team are joined by various local schools every day for a series of carol concerts. Opposite Starbucks.
Friday December 17th and Saturday December 18th – The police are present near to Base to distribute purse bells and will have a specially adapted vehicle with an interactive game as part of a drive to encourage more community safety for Christmas.
Friday December 17th – Basildon Operatic Society entertain with Christmas carols outside ASDA 6 to 8pm.
Saturday December 18th – and it’s the turn of the Basildon Choral Society to provide carol entertainment outside Starbucks from 1 to 3pm.
Sunday December 19th – The Sutherland Pipes and Drums will be present for their annual Eastgate concert, playing in different locations between 12 noon and 1pm. This band’s stirring sound is always a highlight of the Eastgate Christmas period, and we look forward to welcoming them back.
Monday December 20th - Basildon Choral Society return with more carol entertainment outside Starbucks from 2 to 4pm.
Tuesday December 21st - Basildon Operatic Society return with Christmas carols outside ASDA 6 to 8pm.
Wednesday December 22nd – Basildon Catholic Youth entertain with a carol concert outside Starbucks from 2pm to 8pm.
Thursday December 23rd – Triumphant Church International entertain with carols from 1pm to 4pm, then it’s the turn of Churches Together to present another carol concert from 5pm to 8pm, both outside Starbucks. Then in the evening, Basildon Operatic Society are outside ASDA from 6pm to 8pm.
